Corn Fighter

I initially wanted to post a serious story about these corn - on how delicious they are after grilled in the oven (and it was my first time doing it - I always boil corn) but these pics worth more for the story telling.

Anyway, the corns are all the way from Cameron Highlands, my friend's brother were having fun there and called up the sister telling he's coming back and want to kirim anything, and we the girls overheard the conversation and kirim jagung boleh? Makcik sangat! Haha.. anyway thanks to the little brother! It's a pack of 5 cobs pearl corn for RM10 only.

Oh ya about the funny story.

It's the first time I brought home corn in its natural form - complete with husk, so I excitedly calling up Zahra, lay down all the corns to show her. She went all excited too, and as usual, the little brother will cepat-cepat sibuk join the crowd. Emir adores Zahra so much! Whatever the sister does, he wants to join in.

And Zahra pulak macam biasa la, kadang-kadang bagi, kadang-kadang marah.

Ishhhh Emir! Jagung Zahya!
She was pulling Emir away from the corn.

When Emir refused to budge out, she resorts to crying. Haha..drama queen betul.

And time nanges tu siap wailing "mummmyyyyyyyyyy, Emir amik jagung zahyaaaaaaa"

Ye la ye la..jagung zahra sangat :)

While we at this, the grilled corn is yummilicious and super duper easy to make! All you have to do is dump as it is in the oven (I wash it beforehand). Including the husk! It will come out juicy and very sweet - the original corn flavour. 180 celcius degrees for 30mins, but my oven is kinda old so I put at 200 celcius for 40mins :)

A tip about using oven by my mom is to have 2 ovens. Satu khas for cakes/muffin/cookies, another one is for lauk-pauk (chicken/meat/fish/seafood) because somehow the lauk-pauk will ruin ur oven (the smell is not easily come off). So we bought this small oven for grilled chicken and stuff and tengoklah..memang lenjan habis-habisan. We use every week and almost everyday during confinement. It has been 2 years and serves us wonderfully. Berbaloi sangat dengan harga dia. Macam boleh pakai buang la..

Whilst my big and expensive oven for baking is just another pretty face. Cantik dekat cabinet tapi tak pakai-pakai haha.. I use it less than 10 times in 3 years. How ironic.

Live Happily

I rarely share sad stuff, but this one is exceptional. Not that I'm very sad with his condition, but because he touches my heart deeply. What a strong and high spirited boy. If you ever feel so down with your life, remember the more unfortunate. Everybody deserves to live happily.

Emir @ 6 months

Actually I just want to show this couple of pix of me wearing Emir in Giant yesterday. But alang-alang dah update, terus citer pasal Emir lah..

My handsome boy turns 6 months! He is such a darling, jarang meragam. Memang sweet pumpkin pie lah. Anyway, he is a bit clingy these few days. I think he is in the separation anxiety phase. Last Saturday was the worst, he refused to sleep at all during the day because I wasn't next to him. After BF and hell asleep, I left him (nak kemas rumah, do laundry and stuff), tak sampai setengah jam, terus bangun and wails, looking for me.

He can move forward, push using his right arm, macam askar! Hehe so comel. During this anxiety separation period, whenever he sees me, he quickly push himself towards me and bila sampai je will gawang-gawang his hand as a sign for me to lift him up. Laju betul mengesot, macam ulat! I call him ulat gonggok (millipede).

I start his solid food this week with pureed apple (yums!). Wanted to start with avocado but avocado takde yg masak, still keras. So yeah, bermula lah kembali episod membuat makanan untuk bayi. Even though their gap is not that wide, I barely can remember what I did for Zahra last time. Gotta flip the old entries for reference, thank God for blogs haha..

Me wearing Emir inside Giant KD. He is such a heavy bum now but takat pakai kejap-kejap ok la. He loves to be in the sling but sibuk pusing kiri kanan.

Seeeee! Busy tengok iklan kat ramp tu.

Such a chubby lad kan? Drinks a lot and poos a lot too hehe. Anyway Emir ni prefer direct feeding, I just supply 3 x 4oz a day to babysitter, itu pun kadang2 tak habis.

Happy 6 months my ulat gonggok! Mommy loves you so much! Ok la, mommy gotta read what should I feed you this week hehehe..

Yummy Beads

Ok I'm back!!!

Well, not 100%, the busy-ness is still there, but coping. So I hope I can write everyday. Well, that's my current resolution (as am typing here). The spirit is triggered after I had some time to browse on craft thing - I want to start crafting and sewing! And then I can blog about it!

Ok, but seriously, I miss crapping here, documenting my life :)

Anyway, while we at 'craft' topic, I made a lot of stuff but finished halfway. I made puppets for Zahra, made milk pouch, made coaster, well, nothing fancy, but it's something that I love to do! Gonna share about it later after I finished it.

And just to show off that I got this yummy beads bought from Bangkok!

My sister went there for vacation and out of many wonderful things in Bangkok, I asked for craft beads! It wasn't anything specific as I told her to pick anything nice and when she brought back this colorful beads, I was melted to the ground! Ohhhhhh yummmmmmy beads!

They are acrylic beads but looks like marble, with the cracks. Look at the colors, they remind me of M&Ms!

My favourite one will be star-shaped and the round-shaped. It's beautifully cracked!!

Gonna make a lot of stuff from this bead, maybe brooches? And maybe sell some? Hehe. My sister is going to Bangkok again, so I might place another round of order!

Have a colorful weekend everyone!
